Saima's Review: Skin Food Egg White Pore Mask

Hey guys!

This is going to be a very quick review on a product sample that I just used before going to bed which is the:

~ Skin Food Egg White Pore Mask ~

Product Description:

Skin Food state that the mask is:

"A pore-refining cleanser with egg white extract that penetrates deeply into pores to remove pore-clogging oil."

"[Egg white Story]
Egg white, enriched with albumin, promotes firmer skin and smaller pores."

I was expecting the product to be clear like egg white but when I opened the sample packet it turned out to be a clay mask.

The application was extremely smooth and didn't feel uncomfortable at all like some other clay masks I have tried in the past (in other words I could smile or frown without looking or feeling like I have botox haha)

I kept the mask on until it was completely dry (10-15 minutes) then rinsed my face with warm water and 'Oh Holy Sweet Moley!!!' my face felt baby soft and my pores were almost invisible!

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has open pores like myself. The mask is absolutely amazing and I can't wait to buy the full size product.

*Note: As I don't have the full size product of this sample I can't give a clear account as to how beneficial or how effective this product is over time. This is only a general review on one off use.

Saima's Review: Skin Food Omija Whitening Range

Hey guys,

Today I will be writing a review on a sample set that I got of Skin Food's Omija Whitening Range. The set contains a toner, serum, emulsion and cream but I won't be writing about the toner just yet as I actually have the full size product and want to do a separate review for it (The toner is awesome! hehe ~).

Before I start I just want to mention that it's been about a month since I last posted a product review. I thought I would take a break for a while from using a bunch of products and samples that I'm not used too as I noticed my skin was getting major breakouts. Instead I have been using my usual/ more trusted products that don't aggravate my skin (which I will write a post about some other time.)

Anyways, so one of the sample sets that I did manage to use before realising that my skin needed to calm down was the Skin Food Omija Whitening Range. Here's my review:

~ The Skin Food Omija Whitening Range Sample Set ~

Sample Set Contents:

The Omija Whitening samples were packed together in a leaflet style packaging which had pictures and instructions on how to use the products. The order that they should be used in is:

1) Skin Food Omija Whitening Tea Bag Toner (As I mentioned above, I won't be writing about the toner in this review, although it is included in the pictures above.)

2) Skin Food Omija Whitening Serum

3) Skin Food Omija Whitening Emulsion

4) Skin Food Omija Whitening Cream

Lucky for me the instructions were in English this time, although I didn't really need them as it was pretty straight forward.

1) Skin Food Omija Whitening Tea Bag Toner
(I will review this separately very soon)

2) Skin Food Omija Whitening Serum

Product Description:

According to the back of the sample, Skin Food state that this serum is:

"A serum that brightens skin using a patent-awarded Omija herb complex and ingredients producing skin-lightening effects"

After using the toner I applied the serum which looked more like a cream (I did double check just in case and the sample definitely had serum written on it... if any of you have something different then please let me know in the comments box.)

The scent is very very very nice... deliciously fruity... definitely one of the best smelling product ranges I have used from Skin Food.

A little goes a long way with this serum as it can feel quite greasy especially if you have an oily skin type. I actually have combination skin which is prone to breakouts and as I was going through a bad skin stage this product wasn't too good for me. I do however think it would be lovely for someone who doesn't break out too easily.

3) Skin Food Omija Whitening Emulsion

Product Description:

So once again, according to Skin Food this emulsion is:

"An emulsion that brightens skin using a patent-awarded Omija herb complex and ingredients producing skin-lightening effects"

Here's the swatch that I took for you to see:

The emulsion also has the same scent as the toner and serum (yum ... hehe)

The application was smooth and light on the skin but still had a slightly greasy feel to it (but not as much as the serum.)

4) Skin Food Omija Whitening Cream

Product Description:

And again Skin Food state that the cream is also:

"A cream that brightens skin using a patent-awarded Omija herb complex and ingredients producing skin-lightening effects"

Now the cream to me looks more like a serum (hhhmmm maybe the packaging was actually mixed up in production or maybe this is really how it's supposed to be... once again if anyone knows for sure then please let me know hahaa)

Once again, it smells the same as the rest of the range.

The application felt smooth/ hydrating to my skin and it smelt really fresh and fruity. It was still slightly greasy feeling like the other two products but I didn't mind it too much as my skin did look brighter. I do think the sample contained too much product for my face so it took quite some time to fully absorb into my skin... a little definitely goes a long way with this

Overall Impression:

If you have read my post on the Watery Berry range you will know that I was given this to try as well as that range to see what I prefer and I must say I do prefer the Omija Whitening range. It just smells super amazing and I did notice that my skin looked refreshed and bright even after using this range only once.

*Notes: You do not have to use the toner, serum, emulsion and cream all in one go and it's all down to personal preference and skin type. I would advise using a toner after cleansing and then just choosing either one of the serum, emulsion or cream depending on how much moisture your skin needs and also on your skin type.

If you have combination oily/ dehydrated skin which is prone to breakouts (like mine) I definitely do not recommend using all of them together.

*As I don't have the full size products of these samples I can't give a clear account as to how beneficial or how effective the products are over time. This is only a general review on one off use.
