What's In Saima's Airplane Beauty Bag?

Hey Guys,

Guess what? I'm in Malaysia again yaaaaay!!! I landed earlier this month and I have been super busy with family and friends so haven't had much time to write a post. I'm going back to London in early September so I won't be here for much longer (just under 2 weeks left). Now that I have found some free time I can finally write about what I packed in my airplane beauty bag on my way here and what I will be packing for my flight back (It's pretty much the same thing.)

As I travel quite often, my products tend to finish quickly so I don't always carry the same things. I often find that I have run out of my favorite travel goodies and don't have time to buy more so I just work with what I have at hand. I usually group my carry on products into 3 categories: Skincare, Makeup, and Essentials.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SKINCARE ~

Generally I would carry some kind of facial cleansing wipes, sheet masks, moisturizer, lip balm and eye cream for the skincare side of things.

I usually like to carry the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant as it can be used as both a moisturizer and lip balm and really does wonders for the skin... unfortunately I had run out of it so I had to do without it on this trip :( sad times.

So here's what I included in my carry on bag this time:

  • Nivea - Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes
  • St. Ives - Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub (Invigorating)
  • Botanics - Shine Away Mattifying Day Cream SPF15
  • Benefit - It's Potent! Eye Cream
  • Visionary Soap Company - Grapefruit Lip Balm
  • Bloom - Aromatherapy Peach Lip Balm
  • My Beauty Diary - Chocolate Truffle Sheet Mask
  • My Beauty Diary - Bird's Nest Sheet Mask
  • Himalaya Herbals - Acne-n-Pimple Cream

MAKEUP ~

I don't like to wear much makeup at the beginning of my flight, in fact during most of the flight I usually only wear eyeliner and like to flaunt a bare face. This allows my skin to breathe and gives me time to focus on a relaxing and refreshing skincare regime without having to go through the hassle of removing layers of makeup first. I usually only apply all my makeup around an hour before landing so that I somewhat look my best when I arrive at my destination.

Here's what I carried on my flight to Malaysia:

  • Skin 79 - Super + BB Cream
  • Benefit - Hello Flawless! in shade "all the world's my stage" Beige SPF15
  • Benefit - Fake Up Concealer in shade 02 Medium
  • Benefit - Porefessional Primer
  • Jelly Pong Pong - Love Rouge Hepburn & Tracy Cream-to-Powder Blush and Lip/ Cheek Base Gel Duo
  • Cyber Colors Gemstone Blusher in shade 01 Orange Coral
  • Rimmel - Volume Booster Lipstick in shade 012 Candy Girl
  • Sleek MakeUp - Pout Polish SPF15 (Tinted Lip Conditioner) in shade 946 Electro Peach
  • Benefit - Speed Brow Quick Set Brow Gel
  • L'oreal - Gel Intenza Eyeliner in shade 01 Pure Black
  • Bobbi Brown - Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush
  • Maybelline - The Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara

ESSENTIALS ~

The "essentials" are products that I always take on any trip whether long haul or short and can never go without them. These are the usual deodorant, toothbrush/ paste, hand sanitizer, eye drops.... that kinda thing.

Most long haul flights usually hand out a complimentary toothbrush/ paste set along with an eye shade mask and ear plugs... I love the free eye shade mask and ear plugs because they are pretty much the same everywhere so I would rather not pay for them haha ... but the teeny tiny little toothbrush with overly soft bristles and miniature toothpaste with no breath freshening or teeth whitening properties really does nothing for me so I prefer to carry my own.

On this trip I actually forgot to bring my eye drops which is a very bad mistake because eye drops are very helpful for refreshing tired eyes especially on a long haul flight with super powered air conditioning drawing out all the moisture (fair enough not everyone needs eye drops but for me it makes all the difference.)

So this is what I ended up taking with me this time:

  • Body Shop - Strawberry Hand Cleanse Gel
  • Nivea - Invisible Black & White 48h Antiperspirant
  • Benefit - B Spot Eau Du Toilette
  • Axe Brand Medicated Oil
  • Aquafresh Whitening Toothpaste
  • Colgate Toothbrush

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I tend to carry quite a few things on my flight but I always make sure that all the products are 100ml or less and that all the liquid items fit in to one of those clear plastic bags... luckily the bags that they provide at Heathrow Airport are quite a decent size and were able to fit majority of the things this time and anything that didn't fit I just put in my partner's bag as he usually doesn't carry much heehee :)

I would like to mention that this is only what I include in my carry on bag and I actually put more products in my check in luggage (can't live without my makeup and beauty products haahaa.)

Hopefully this  post is helpful to anyone who needs some ideas on what to take on an airplane.  Let me know if you want me to write a post on all the other things I take with me on holiday.

Also, I would like to know what products you guys like to carry with you on a flight, any recommendations? Please leave a comment below.

And stay tuned for my next post where I talk about my airplane skincare regime in more detail (coming soon)

Peace out my lovelies ~
